The Symphony of Life: Summer in Denali

It's hard to put a place like this into words. It's hard to describe what this land means to me. Should I talk about the feeling of climbing to the top of a peak, being able to see hundreds of miles of untouched wilderness in all directions? Should I talk about how the sun never dips beneath the horizon all summer, and the birds sing songs at 3am? Should I talk about the moment a brown bears eyes meet mine? The secrets of our nature whispered in the wind between us, as if the very essence of the landscape is woven into the gaze we exchange.

A cold breeze carries the promise of winter to come. Time feels suspended, though, here in this moment.

A shared understanding of two animals in the heart of the wilderness.
